The Matmut Atlantique distinguishes itself from other sports venues by the pure form of its design and the extreme lightness of its structure. With an architecture both monumental and delicate, it inscribes itself with elegance into Bordeaux’s larger landscape.
The bowl (receptacle for the game and its spectators), with a maximum capacity of around 42,115 people, is organized around the playing field following a geometry that guarantees optimal visibility to the spectators, a convivial atmosphere as well as a great flexibility in capacity and usage according to the necessary configuration. The superposition of the two stands, the slope of the tiers along with the proximity to the playing field give the bowl a "cauldron" feel. Finally, the architectural simplicity and purity of the bowl and its base guarantee the flow’s safe management and facilitate one’s sense of direction.
Friday evening: guided tour of Bordeaux, a World Heritage Site

Some 1,810 hectares of Bordeaux are listed a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You will delight in discovering this remarkable area. In fact, it comprises most of the city between the outer boulevards and the Port of the Moon, i.e. the crescent shape bend formed by the Garonne, as well as the strip of land along the right bank.
For the social programme of the Saturday afternoon (26th may), participants will have to choose one activity from the following list:
- High ropes course (maxi 20 pers.)
20 minutes away from the center of Bordeaux, seven different treetop trails are suspended between oaks and hornbeams.
You will be suspended around 5 meters up into the air and will find the must haves like monkey bridges, Tarzan jumps, ziplines etc...
- Wine & Heritage: discovery of Saint-Emilion (mini 40pers. – maxi 50pers.)
Two thousand years of history between men and vines are waiting for you in the village of Saint-Emilion, a remarkable example of a historical vineyard that has got through the ages but yet is still the same.
Saint-Emilion is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine area, one hour away from Bordeaux. It is a very unique site were world-famous wineries, fine wine, beautiful architecture and great monuments are a perfect match.
An afternoon to enjoy the visit of the village, the visit of a chateau along with wine tasting.
- Arcachon, between Land and Sea (mini 40pers. – maxi 50pers.)
Now the 6th largest Natural Marine Park in France, Arcachon Bay is a genuine inland sea.
Less than an hour from Bordeaux, completely open to the ocean, the bay is a lagoon of numerous landscapes : ports and oyster villages, fine sand beaches, pine forests, islands and a peninsula, a lake, salt marshes and not to mention the highest dune of Europe (la Dune du Pilat).
An afternoon for great memories: visit of Arcachon (heritage architecture) followed by a boat trip not far from the Dune du Pilat.
